John Carter

John Carter first came to prominence when he set up The Flower Van in 1990 at Bibendum, Sir Terence Conran’s iconic restaurant in South Kensington. The former Michelin building proved to be the perfect platform to showcase his designs, and it became one of the most talked about floral boutiques in London.

Today, from his design studio in Fulham, John is regarded as one of the UK's leading floral designers. He is renowned for his impeccable taste and design flair. His clients include many of the world's style connoisseurs, which is testament to his talent; Charles Saatchi, Sir Terence Conran, Nina Campbell, Emma Forbes, Kelly Hoppen, Lady Helen Taylor, Charles Worthington and Cartier are all devotees.

John's sensitivity to his clients’ needs has won him much admiration - and many friends. He prides himself in giving them unrivalled personal attention and service. His design philosophy focuses on natural beauty and style - transcending mere trends. It was this skill that won him a gold medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2010 for his traffic-stopping Cartier window display.

John has a talent for making even the most simple arrangements look effortlessly chic. His passion and enthusiasm are evident in every element of his work - whether it's a single buttonhole, or a grand wedding.
